Adam Crabb singing in Maben Adam Crabb will be singing at Maben Church of God on Jan. 3. The singing starts at 6 p.m. and doors open at 5 p.m. A love offering will be received. The church is located at 3965 Crowley Drive.

NMMC to offer free Diabetes Prevention Program North Mississippi Medical Center is kicking off a free yearlong Diabetes Prevention Program for individuals who struggle with obesity, have or have had gestational diabetes, are pre-disposed to diabetes through family history, are pre-diabetic or type 2 diabetic. Sessions will be offered virtually via Webex at 5 p.m. on scheduled Tuesdays throughout the year. Registration is not necessary, and drop-ins are welcome. A question-and-answer-session will be at 5 p.m. Jan. 5. Sessions will meet weekly for several months and then become less frequent as the year progresses. A class schedule, links to each session and handouts are available at www.nmhs.net/diabetes-prevention. Webster County Library hours Webster County Public Library has resumed regular operating hours. These hours are Monday 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Wednesday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Storytime is each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. for Pre-K children. For more information call 258-7515.

Public meetings

The next regular meeting of the Webster County School Board is at 6 p.m. Jan. 11 in the district office boardroom.

The Webster County Board of Supervisors meets at 8:30 a.m. every first Monday, third Monday and last working day of the month at the courthouse in Walthall.

The Eupora Board of Aldermen meets at 6 p.m. every first Monday at Eupora City Hall.

The Maben Board of Aldermen meets at 5:30 p.m. every first Tuesday at Maben Town Hall.

The Mantee Board of Aldermen meets at 6 p.m. every first Monday at Mantee Village Hall.

The Mathiston Board of Aldermen meets at 6 p.m. every first Monday at Mathiston Town Hall.

The Walthall Board of Aldermen meets at 6:30 p.m. every first Monday at Walthall Village Hall.
