STARKVILLE, Miss.—Twenty-nine Mississippi State staff members are new graduates of the university’s Leadership Excellence for Accomplished Professionals program.

LEAP’s goals and purpose include the advancement of knowledge, enhancement of leadership skills and direct practical work application for selected employees.

JACKSON, MISS. – David Bond, 65, of Wiggins woke up Monday prepared to start his Thanksgiving week like any other. He was going deer hunting.

“I wasn’t going to go hunting at first,” he said. “I went to town for supplies at the Jr Food Mart in Wiggins and bought five tickets, all Triple 7s. Then, I went hunting.”

Holdiness spoke on military service, law enforcement service, service in the church and ways each person can use their talents to serve a community and others.
