DPS Driver Service Bureau announces new appointment system

JACKSON, MS – the Mississippi Department of Public Safety’s Driver Service Bureau (DSB) announces a new online appointment system called Wait Anywhere that is available as a pilot program in six driver service offices across the state: Nesbit, Tupelo, Jackson, Pearl, Hattiesburg and Gautier.  The goal is to establish this new appointment system

Rob “Bobcat” Robinson is continuing his mission of bringing people together to enjoy outdoor adventures and sharing the importance of being an organ donor.

The Webster Countian is the founder of Forever Outdoors, a non-profit organization designed to promote organ donation awareness and help people who can’t enjoy the outdoors.


Aldermen table saferoom rental agrement for further review

In their meeting of Tuesday, August 20, the Louisville Board of Aldermen acted on a number of matters including the Louisville Community Saferoom Rental Agreement.

After some discussion the Board chose to table the agreement until a later date for further review of the agreement and other items.





MBI Investigates Officer Involved Shooting in Madison County

On Thursday, September 05, 2019, the Madison County Sheriff’s Department responded to a hostage/kidnap situation in the 100 block of Lelia’s Drive in Madison County. After making contact with the suspect, a pursuit ensued traveling westbound on MS16. Due to public safety concerns, stop sticks were deployed in order to end the pursuit.
