Local death maybe related to heat; precautions to take

A local woman died Monday, August 12 possibly due toextreme heat.

Winston County Coroner Scott Gregory said a 74-year-old woman was mowing her yard when she was overtaken by the heat.

Gregory says she did have an extensive health history, but it’s believed she got too hot while outside around 3 p.m. Monday afternoon.
