Board bans contractor from bidding process

The Board of Supervisors has eliminated a contractor from the bidding process for future bridge projects in Webster County because it is so far behind on ones underway.

Supervisors passed a board order doing so May 6 after meeting with County Engineer Karl Grubb and Christy Powell, president of Greenwood-based J.J. Ferguson Cos.

Litterless Louisville campaign to continue

At a regularly-scheduled meeting, on Tuesday, April 16, Louisville Mayor Will Hill and the Board of Aldermen acknowledged many efforts of residents throughout the City during the Litterless Louisville Campaign which ran from March 19 through April 16. Hill noted, however, that there is still much work to be done to beautify the City.
