AARP-Tax-Aide is in need of volunteers to help with e-filing of 2019 income taxes for the elderly, and low to moderate income citizens of Winston and surrounding counties. We currently process claims at the Winston and Neshoba County libraries during the tax season.

The Family Center is an educational lending resource center. This Center can help with your educational needs. We welcome the opportunity to help you. The services and programs offered through the Family Center are designed to assist parents/participants and teachers in helping the students. There aren't any fees assessed to use the resources.
We have a variety of books and other various learning resources on display for October: Halloween, November: Thanksgiving, and December: Christmas/ Hannukka/Kwanzaa.

Thomas and Therrel Higgins benefit to be held
There will be a benefit for Thomas and Therrel Higgins at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 7 at New Zion Baptist Church. Thomas is a kidney transplant patient and underwent open heart surgery recently. He is now the caregiver for his brother, Therrel. Therrel is undergoing kidney dialysis and was recently diagnosed with cancer. There will be a cake walk, gun raffle, and auction. All the proceed will go toward medical expenses. Sponsor are New Zion Baptist Church, Ye Olde Clock Shoppe, and Weir Fire Department. There will be a meal available for purchase- 16 oz.
