Mount Olive Bethel Harmony District Association Woman's Auxiliary invite each of you to our annual WOMEN IN WHITE Service. The time is Saturday, August 17th, at 10 am, and the location is 521 Armstrong Street. Our theme is: "It's Our Season". The Winston County Photo Club are meeting on fourth Thursday of each month. Union Chapel M. B. Church will have summer revival beginning Aug. 18th-20th. The guest speaker will be Rev. Christopher Mayes, Pastor of Pleasant Plain M.B. Church in Prairie, MS. Revival will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18th and 7:00 p.m. on August 19th & 20th.

The MS State Extension office will host a program entitled, "Getting Organized for a Hectic Life" on August 22 from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. Sessions will be held in Bost 409 at the MSU Campus and at the MSU Extension office via video. Extension Agent Natalie Ray of Clay county will be the instructor.
Home school kick-off to be held
Harmony Baptist Church will host a home school kick-off from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., August 24. The Christian Home Educators Association of Louisville will be hosting their 2019-2020 school kick-off on August 24. A truancy officer will be available to accept your child's attendance forms at 10 a.m. Anyone with questions about home schooling or wishes to register their child is welcome. Dining with Diabetes Program offered by MSU Extension
Dining with Diabetes is a series of four classes that will be conducted by Winston County Extension and the Coalition for a Healthy Winston County beginning on Thursday, August 22 at 3:30pm at the Extension office located on Vance Street. The program series objectives are to increase knowledge about healthy foods, present healthy versions of familiar foods, demonstrate new cooking techniques, provide taste testing of new recipes, provide basic information regarding diabetes and nutrition and to provide opportunities for sharing and learning from one another and from health professionals. Please join us as we learn strategies to manage diabetes through menu planning, carbohydrate counting, portion control and label reading. Space is limited so call the office and sign up today. Classes are free and open to anyone who cares for people who have diabetes or those who have been diagnosed with diabetes or pre diabetes. The office number is 773-3091.
