Family Law Clinic to be held
MS Volunteer Lawyers Project will host a Family Law Clinic for Choctaw and Winston Counties at 9 a.m., Friday, June 28 at the Winston County Courthouse. Topics will include emancipation, guardianship, irreconcilable differences divorce, name change, and simple wills. Qualified participants meet one-on-one with an attorney for free. Please bring any documents related to your case.
Salem United Methodist Church
The annual memorial service for Salem United Methodist Church in Chester will be held on Sunday, May 19 at 10:45 am. The service this year will be a testimony to the power of music in the Ministry of the Gospel as we welcome the Southern Image Quartet. The service will be followed by a covered dish lunch in the fellowship hall. All are welcome and invited to attend.

Wild Horse Ministries will present a program at 10 a.m. May 19 at Covered K Arena, 2433 U.S. Hwy. 82, Maben.
Paul Daily follows the steps outlined in the "Round Pen of Life" when training a horse during a Wild Horse Ministries presentation. He will begin with an untrained horse and explain to the audience the similarities between man's relationship with God and a horse's relationship with his trainer as he completes the groundwork and riding process
Barrel racer Taylor Williams will give her testimony. The program will also feature goat tying and dummy roping.

Bethel Methodist to host memorial
The annual memorial service at Bethel Methodist Church will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 26. The service will be conducted by Rev. Kenneth Corley of Pontotoc. This is the only scheduled event at the old country church on Sharp Rd. in the Chestnut Grove Community where Oktibbeha, Choctaw and Winston County merge.

ECCC to Host Summer High School Boys and Girls Soccer Camps
Registration is underway for East Central Community College’s high school residential boys and girls soccer camps to be held in June on the ECCC campus in Decatur.
The Summer High School Residential Girls Soccer Camp will be held June 2-4, 2019. The cost is $225 per camper. The Summer High School Residential Boys Soccer Camp will be held June 6-8, 2019. The cost is $225 per camper. The camps are open to both high school teams and individual soccer players. Local players and high school teams not planning to reside in on-campus housing during the camps will be charged $180 per player. Each camp will include six training sessions, three games, an All-Star game, team bonding activities, and footy golf. The cost also includes three meals per day, camp T-shirt, and camp soccer ball.
Training sessions will be conducted on both a full grass pitch and synthetic turf field, as well as an indoor facility. Residential campers will stay in one of the college’s modern dormitories.
