Steve Robertson to hold book signing
Author, Steve Robertson, will be signing his book, Stark Villains: Heroic Dawg Tales from the Rivalry with Ole Miss, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., January 10th in the Winston County Library meeting room. The Friends of the Library will provide free brown bag lunches to the first 20 people in attendance.

Red Hills Senior Citizens will meet each month on the second Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.. Meeting place is Winston County Extension Office on 155 Vance Street. Bring a dish to share.
AARP-Tax-Aide is in need of volunteers to help with e-filing of 2019 income taxes for the elderly, and low to moderate income citizens of Winston and surrounding counties. We currently process claims at the Winston and Neshoba County libraries during the tax season.

Mount Olive Bethel Harmony annual ways and means program will be Friday evening, January 24th at 6:30 PM. The program will consist of the MOBH Youth, MOBH Women, and MOBH Men presenting a concert. The annual RAW & RAM (Real Anointed Women, Real Anointed Men) Conference will be Friday night and Saturday, January 17th and 18th at the MOBH Building. Mississippi Dixie Diamond All Crown Pageant

In the beautiful Pine Ridge Lodge at the stunning Lake Tiak-O’Khata Resort 12920 Smyth Lake Road - Louisville, Mississippi
Doors will open at 12 noon and pageant will begin at 2:00 p.m.
FEE INFO - PAGEANT FEES ARE $45 for beauty and $10 for one photogenic photo - $5 extra per photos
entered for judging. All entries due by January 25. Photogenic is optional and will not count towards Division Queen. Bring your photos the day of the pageant. Any size photo is accepted – no picture frames please and have your child’s name and age division on the back of your photo. PHOTOS MUST BE TURNED IN BY 1:30 p.m. FOR JUDGING.
Age Divisions – please enter the age group you are the day of the pageant – no roll back – no roll forward. Any age group with over 10 contestants will be split. No group will ever have over 10 contestants. Age groups and divisions are BABY MISS 0-15 months, TODDLER MISS 16-23 months, TEENY MISS 2-3 Years, LITTLE MISS 4-5 Years, YOUNG MISS 6-8 Years, PRE TEEN MISS 9-11 Years, JR MISS 12-14 Years, TEEN MISS 15-17 Years, MISS 18 and up – never married and no children. MRS/MS 18 and up married, divorced, or single mom. So you can see we have a division for everyone.
Now to the fun part...what do you win? In each age division there will be a Queen awarded the title of Miss Dixie Diamond - she will win a gorgeous crown and sash with their title. Alternates will be awarded as follows - First Alternate - Miss Dixie Emerald, Second Alternate - Miss Dixie Ruby, Third Alternate - Miss Dixie Sapphire. All alternates will receive a crown and sash with their title. Special awards are also given and those will receive a crown as well. No contestant leaves this pageant without a crown! Photogenic winners will receive a crown and sash. We will also award Prettiest Eyes, Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Smile and Best Fashion – these winners will receive a sash.
