As requested by OSARC, bridge on the Highpoint-Weir Road was closed Thursday, December 20, 2018. Winston county has repaired a piling and are awaiting on OSARC approval to reopen the bridge.




ICC honors

Vaughn visits with congressman

Vicki Vaughn of Mathiston (fourth from r.) and other Thad Cochran Agricultural Leadership Program fellows visited with 3rd District Congressman Gregg Harper (l.) in Washington in mid-November. While in the city, the group was able to take a tour of the U.S. Capitol building and the National Archives Vault with Harper.

Stevenson celebrating 103 years

Carrie McMullen Stevenson celebrated her 103rd birthday Nov. 30.
She was born Nov. 30, 1915, to Shannon McMullen Sr. and Emma Miller McMullen.
Carrie is a native of Ackerman and lived in the Bywy community, where she was an active member of Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church. Her favorite thing to do is sing God’s praises.
