The Webster County School Board elected board officers for 2019 at a previous meeting
The PTEN Hamartoma Tumor Syndrome Foundation is thrilled to announce Lisa Stewart as it's National Spokesperson. The PTEN Foundation recently collaborated with Lisa Stewart and Rep Interactive to produce the foundation's first awareness commercial which will be officially released later this week.
The East Central Community College softball program will host a new series of “Thursday Nights Under the Lights” training during January 2019 for softball players in grades 7-12.
The Winston County Library will be having “Story-time With Santa” on December 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m.
They will have stories, treats, and songs, and the Winter Wonderland plush pals that you can build yourself and take home ($5.00 supply fee).
And of course Santa Claus will be on hand for the celebration.
Friends of the Library will be sponsoring The Giving Tree at the Choctaw County Library starting November 29. This holiday tree will have special ornaments which will allow the community to give back to the Library. Each ornament on The Giving Tree will be decorated with a needed item.
As Thanksgiving Day approaches, Choctaw County families are expressing their gratitude by giving back.
Residents are filling shoeboxes with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items to send to children in need around the world. For many of these children, it will be the first gift they have ever received.
Robin Mixon, FACHCA, has been named administrator of North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora. She had been serving in an interim capacity since May 1.
Mixon also serves as administrator of NMMC-Eupora’s long-term care facility. She was recently named a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators.
