As Thanksgiving Day approaches, Choctaw County families are expressing their gratitude by giving back.
Residents are filling shoeboxes with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items to send to children in need around the world. For many of these children, it will be the first gift they have ever received.
Robin Mixon, FACHCA, has been named administrator of North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora. She had been serving in an interim capacity since May 1.
Mixon also serves as administrator of NMMC-Eupora’s long-term care facility. She was recently named a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Administrators.
The Eupora Fire Department’s has announced the promotion of Reagan Gary to assistant chief and the retirement of a longtime member.
Gary has been a lifelong resident of Eupora. He has nine years of service as an EFD firefighter and five years as an operations captain.
The Choctaw County Medical Foundation will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for The Sensory Garden on Monday, November 5th, 2018 at 10 AM at the Choctaw County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The Foundation has been actively working on this large project for over a year.
On Tuesday, October 16, The Mississippi Bar held the 90th Annual Memorial Service before the Mississippi Supreme Court in the Chambers of the Supreme Court building in Jackson. Family and friends gathered for the memorializing of attorneys and judges, including Ackerman attorney James Dennis Dobbs.
